What You Need to Know About Cheating Boyfriends
The existence of cheating boyfriends is not exactly a new problem. To be fair, I'm sure it works both ways, but it seems like we hear more about men cheating. If you're a woman who has seen signs, your gut feeling may be very correct. Don't go hire a P.I., or call an attorney, unless you're sure of your suspicions.
Boyfriends that are not faithful can create a very tense relationship. But they generally leave some signs that, once you are looking for them, are hard to mistake. Women's intuition is not just a myth when it comes to cheating boyfriends.
The first warning sign that your man may be cheating is commonly an emotional distance and a reduced physical intimacy on their part. Your boyfriend may not want to hold your hand like he used to, and he will not be inclined to cuddle, touch and kiss as often as he used to. He may seem distant to you, as if he is preoccupied with something – or someone.
Trouble may be afoot if he has been responsive to your sexual advances in the past, and is not any longer. When you want to be intimate, he will use the old “headache” or some other excuse to get out of physical contact. You will notice this easily, if you previously had a good love life, and now his intensity is waning.
Cheating boyfriends are likely not to say “I love you” like they used to do. Your man may stop sending or bringing you flowers, and his words are less affectionate. Little love notes or emails are not forthcoming, as they once were.
Another danger sign of cheating is that he comes up with a lot of reasons why he needs to spend time away from you. Whether it's overtime at work, or going out with “the guys”, he is making time for someone else, at your expense.
If you notice new names in your boyfriend's IM window, or a new chat site in his IE history, it may indicate that he is talking with another woman online. Cheating boyfriends also may use the computer late at night, but not with their regular girlfriends. If you're snooping on his computer, you probably have some serious doubts about him already.
Sudden schedule changes may be a sign that something is amiss with your relationship, too. He may be working out at the gym more often to impress another woman. Or he may not be at the gym at all, and that's just an excuse to spend time with another woman.
Cheating boyfriends often go through a change in their grooming habits, too, because they care more about how they look in a “new and exciting” relationship than they do in their old, “comfortable” relationship with you. A cheating man may buy more new clothes than he normally does. And you may notice a perfume scent on him that you're not familiar with.
One of these signs doesn't necessarily mean your man is cheating on you. But if the signs start adding up, then it may be time to face him down. You may decide to forgive and forget, or to move on, but that's better decided after a long heart-to-heart talk.
